Museum of memories
The photographs from this series were taken in two different houses that belong to my family. These two houses have been forgotten by time, and no one has lived in them for many years. One house is located in Ub, where no one has lived for over 30 years, and the other is in Vozdovac, where no one has lived for 8 years. These houses were once home to my grandparents. I photographed what remains of the belongings and memories, as well as the cracks through which light passes, which seems almost magical as it illuminates the images, objects, and clothing left behind. After several months of observing and visiting these houses, I realized that the only thing that has remained in them is the light. In the photographs, alongside images of the houses, are pictures of my grandmother, as well as photographs featuring me—someone who remains after everything, someone to whom these houses, memories, and mementos now belong.
